What this category covers
Mass timber products are built from graded, planed lamellas that are finger-jointed, laid up in layers and pressed. Cross-laminated timber alternates the grain direction of each layer to produce large structural panels; glulam bonds lamellas in parallel for beams and columns. Both require accurate planing, adhesive application, pressing and downstream CNC machining.
